In an electrifying clash on July 25th, Harrison High School’s Hoyas showcased their firepower with a resounding 42-19 victory over North Cobb High School’s Warriors. The game was a rollercoaster of momentum shifts, with Harrison’s dynamic running back John Smith leading the charge. Smith racked up three touchdowns — two in the second quarter and one in the fourth — showcasing his versatility and vision on the field. His relentless effort kept the Hoyas ahead, setting the tone early and maintaining their edge throughout the game.
The Warriors fought valiantly, with standout defensive end Josh Williams making a game-changing play in the third quarter. Williams intercepted a pass and took it 79 yards for a touchdown, igniting the Warriors’ sideline and giving North Cobb a boost. Despite the effort — North Cobb rushing for a total of 210 yards and forcing three turnovers — their defense struggled to contain Smith and the potent Harrison offense. The Hoyas’ defense was equally fierce, recording three sacks and two interceptions that helped frustrate the Warriors’ offensive drives.
Fans can certainly expect Harrison to keep that momentum alive in upcoming matchups!
